Bookkeeping Built by Someone Who's Run Financial Operations at the Highest Level
Meet Carolina
Before specializing in bookkeeping for solo attorneys and small law firms, Carolina spent over 25 years building and running the financial infrastructure of organizations where precision, compliance, and confidentiality were essential. She served as COO and CFO of investment firms, nonprofit organizations, and accounting firms, where she personally oversaw audits, regulatory compliance, and financial controls for organizations accountable to boards, regulators, and clients alike.
Carolina brings that same rigor to law firm bookkeeping — because trust accounting compliance requires the same level of fiduciary standards she spent her career operating under.
Why This Background Matters for Your Firm
While most bookkeepers have never had to answer to an auditor, a board or a regulator, Carolina has — across some of the most compliance-sensitive areas of finance and nonprofit management. Carolina designed a number of organizations' accounting, budgeting, and operational systems from scratch — the same kind of setup new law practices need. She directly managed A/R, A/P and payroll across multiple organizations, which are the same day-to-day functions she now handles for the law firms she works with.
Why Focus on Solo Attorneys and Small Law Firms
After more than two decades supporting investment, non-profit and accounting firms, Carolina brings that same level of financial discipline to the practitioners who need it most but often have the least support: solo practitioners and small firms, who cannot justify full-time, in-house financial leadership but still carry serious fiduciary responsibility for client funds. That's where Balanced Law Books came from — institutional-grade financial rigor, sized and priced for a solo or small practice. Carolina specifically focused on law firms because a friend, a practicing attorney, pointed out how much lawyers needed her compliance-focused financial operations expertise to establish themselves and grow.
